50 Cent was scheduled to go on tour with Chris Brown as one of the star attractions, but a few days ago, it was reported that the G-Unit rapper had pulled out of the show.
A few speculations as to why he ditched the gig was making the rounds, but now the real reason has surfaced.
TMZ reports Fif was ready to be the lead guest on Chris Brown’s “The Party Tour” after settling on a fee with Chris’ camp for the performing role. Live Nation, who are responsible for putting the show together assumed Fifty was already onboard and began putting his name and image on the tour’s promotional materials, but when it was time to sign the contract – both parties were “hundreds of thousands of dollars apart” on terms.
Live Nation tried to open renegotiations with 50 Cent but the New York rapper finally walked 2 weeks ago. Despite Fif’s exit, promotion for the tour continued to be hyped with the rapper’s image for another week.
Some fans are now pissed because they claim the only reason they purchased tickets was to see the G-Unit boss live. TMZ reports they’ll be no refunds because Chris Brown, the headliner will still be there as planned. Other scheduled performers include Fabolous and O.T. Genasis.
The tour kicks off today (March 31) in Baltimore.
