Fans of the telenovela Gomora will soon be without one of the program’s most beloved actors, Zolisa Xaluva, after the lead actor departed the show following a disagreement with the show’s producers, according to a source close to the production.
Shirley Adonisi, M-local Net’s entertainment director, revealed to TshisaLIVE that Xaluva will be leaving the show and praised him for his contributions to the series in a statement sent to the media.
Zolisa Xaluva, a former The Queen actor who just left the drama Gomora as Melusi Dlamini, has finally spoken out about his decision to leave the show.
The actor recently disclosed in an interview with TshisaLIVE that he had to leave because of his hectic schedule, but that he had done so on good terms with his co-stars.
According to a source from the show, the actor confronted the producers because he was dissatisfied with his character’s narrative. Another source indicated that Xaluva’s forthright stance on a number of subjects irritated producers, who were relieved to see him go.
Xaluva is the second celebrity to depart the show, following Israel Matseke-Zulu, who played Don, who left the famous show in 2021 because of his battle with gangrene, which resulted in the amputation of his right leg.
Viewers of the show have already noticed that the character of Melusi Dlamini, played by Zolisa Xaluva, was not included in the TVSA May teasers.
