Alex Beresford is a well-known GMB weather reporter, who is on the spotlight now, Alex proposed to his long-term love Imogen McKay, who is now his soon-to-be wife, as they prepared for their big day.
Alex Beresford, who is known as the 41-year-old Good Morning Britain weatherman and the 29-year-old McKay have been dating since August 2020, when a mutual friend arranged a blind date.
However, Alex has now revealed that he proposed to Imogen on New Year’s Day while on vacation in Majorca.
Imogen McKay grew up in Australia and now works in e-commerce for a prominent London restaurant, traveled to Bristol, where Alex grew up.
She admitted that she had never seen Beresford on television before meeting him and had avoided checking him up beforehand because she wanted to experience for herself what he was like.
‘When we met, it seemed as if we’d known each other for decades,’ she revealed to Hello Magine on their first date in Bristol, where Beresford resides. ‘It just came easily for us to hold hands and laugh together.’
Alex proposed to Imogen in a very romantic way on the beach of Majorica on New Year’s Eve.
Beresford recalls the “great moment” he proposed to McKay when they were going down the beach in Majorica as an “awesome moment.”
Alex and his bride-to-be are now planning a trip back to Majorca, where he proposed to Imogen, for their September wedding.
Around 100 people will celebrate their special day, and family and friends will play essential parts in the ceremony, including Alex’s 12-year-old son Cruz, who will serve as ring bearer and tiny best man.
