The Johnny Depp trial case still continue, as the court hearings in Johnny’s defamation lawsuit against Amber are set to resume, and the actress’ sister Whitney Henriquez and Ellen Barkin, Depp’s ex-girlfriend, testimony could change the case.

Whitney Heard and her sister are currently entangled in a fight with Johnny Depp, her ex-husband. Amber has leveled severe domestic violence allegations against Johnny Depp, the star of “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
She also provided a litany of alleged abuses by Johnny against her as part of his attempt to sue his ex-wife for $ 50 million in defamation.
Whitney Henriquez’s Testimony Could Change The Case
Whitney Henriquez, who is known as Heard’s sister, and actress Ellen Barkin are set to speak for the defense.
Henriquez and Barkin testified as witnesses for Heard in Depp’s lost libel action against The Sun in 2020. The actor sued the British tabloid for language in an article about Heard’s abuse accusations that referred to him as a “wife-beater.”
Ellen dated Depp in the late 1990s while filming Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. In the UK defamation action, she allegedly testified that Depp threw a wine bottle in her way during a heated moment in a hotel room. Depp disputed the charge, claiming that Barkin had a grudge against him.
Whitney Henriquez And Ellen Barkin Testifier
Whitney Henriquez will testify about her claims that Depp assaulted her. Henriquez was called to testify in the case, but he never finished. While Heard was married to Depp, Henriquez lived in one of Depp’s penthouses at the Eastern Columbia Building.
Depp and his wife lived in a 1930s art deco building in Los Angeles, where they owned numerous penthouses adjacent to one another.
Depp had recently ended his nine-year relationship with Winona Ryder and had begun a rebound relationship with Barkin.
The actress, who most recently appeared in TNT’s Animal Kingdom, has been on Heard’s witness list since March, but it’s unknown whether other celebrities on the list, such as Elon Musk and James Franco, would testify.
Amber Heard And Johnny Depp Trial Update
On May 5,Judge Penney Azcarate had a conference to attend on Thursday, therefore the court was deferred for the break. At the close of last week, both sides expressed optimism about the pace of the proceedings.
The trial began on April 11, Azcarate informed jurors of the scheduling difficulty. The conference’s details have not been publicized, but it is unrelated to the trial.
After Amber wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post in 2018 characterizing herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse,” Johnny, 58, is suing Heard, 36, for defamation.
Despite the fact that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star was not identified in the article, he claims it wrecked his reputation, harmed his career, and cost him tens of millions of dollars in work.
Heard claims Depp abused her on several occasions. Her attorneys also claim that Depp’s career was declining even before the op-ed.
