AWKWORD offers social commentary on the ongoing Black Lives Matter protest in America in new song “Ten Demands” featuring Jesse Jett.
“The revolution’s now, we still can’t breathe /You think it’s revolutionary, defunding police?” He asks. “That’s phase one, we will abolish the beast.”
The accompanying video contains footages of riots, civil unrest and police brutality against black people in America.
“Ten Demands for Justice offers a roadmap for the defunding and then full abolition of police and prisons, beginning with immediate actions to end police violence as well as racism and classism in policing, prosecution and sentencing,” AWKWORD said in a press release.
All proceeds from the song goes to Black Lives Matter and the movement for black lives.
