New Music Friday continues this week with the biggest news being Aaliyah’s second studio album “One In A Million” now available for the first time on streaming services.
Elsewhere Olympic gold medalist Dame D.O.L.L.A. releases his new album “Different On Levels The Lord Allowed.” We also get new releases from Swae Lee, Jhené Aiko, Young Thug, AKA and more.

Aaliyah “One In A Million”
In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of her death, Aaliyah’s iconic second studio album “One in a Million” is finally available to stream for the first time ever. The album was originally released in 1996 with guest appearances by Missy Elliot, Timbaland and Slick Rick.
One in a Million’s re-release was made possible due to a partnership between Blackground Records 2.0 (which owns Aaliyah’s catalog and is ran by her uncle, Barry Hankerson) and EMPIRE.
A posthumous Aaliyah album is also reportedly still in the works.
Dame D.O.L.L.A. “Different On Levels The Lord Allowed”
Oakland rapper Dame D.O.L.L.A. is celebrating his recent Olympic success with the release of his new album, Different On Levels The Lord Allowed. The new album contains 12-tracks and includes guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Q-Tip, Snoop Dogg, Raphael Saadiq and more.
Swae Lee & Jhené Aiko “In The Dark”
Swae Lee and Jhene Aiko preach the importance of self-worth in their latest collaboration “In The Dark.” The empowering anthem is off the motion-picture film, Shang-Chi & The Legend Of The Ten Rings.
The Marvel film hits theaters September 3.
Young Thug “Tick Tock”
Fresh off celebrating his 30th. Young Thug returns with a new single that refrences his come up. “Tick Tock” is the first single off his forthcoming sophomore album, Punk.
This marks the YSL boss’ first release since his Young Stoner Life compilation album Slime Language 2 which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
Big Boi x Sleepy Brown “The Big Sleep Is Over”
Big Boi and Sleepy Brown reunite for “The Big Sleep Is Over.” The track follows the duo’s previous single “Lowercase (No Cap)” featuring Killer Mike and are both off their long-awaited album The Big Sleepover.
