Jim Sparks Death – We are extremely saddened and devastated to announce the death of Coach Jim Sparks, who passed away recently. This was made known through what was posted across the social media.
Jim Sparks started coaching at Banyo during the 90’s, taking Opens teams throughout the years to Finals and Premierships. He continued into the 2000’s, coaching his sons junior teams, whilst also being a part of the wider Banyo community. One of Jim’s greatest achievements as a coach was guiding the 2015 Open 2’s side to a Grand Final win, with both of his sons, Sam & Tommy, as part of the squad.
