Drake continues to dominate modern music. The Scorpion artist has been crowned Spotify’s most streamed artist of 2018. Drake topped the list globally with 8.2 billion streams, and if for some reason you don’t find the fit impressive, the 6 God is also the most streamed Spotify artist of all time.

His viral hit “God’ plan” was the most streamed record while ”Scorpion” was the most streamed album of 2018. Post Malone, XXXTentacion, J Balvin, and Ed Sheeran round out the top 5 list of most streamed artists in the world, according to Spotify’s Wrapped series.

Ariana Grande enters the list as Spotify’s most streamed female artist this year, largely thanks to her smash break up single “Thank You, Next,” which has over 220 million streams.

The Nominees for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards have arrived and hip hop is at the forefront. 

Kendrick Lamar leads the pack for the 2019 Grammys thanks to his efforts on the “Black Panther” soundtrack, which he co-created alongside Top Dawg CEO Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith. The Humble rapper is up for nominations in eight categories including Album Of The Year, Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year.

Following Kendrick is Drake with seven nods, including ones for Album Of The Year and Record Of The Year. Cardi B who released her debut album “Invasion Of Privacy” this year is up for five nominations.

Folk singer/ songwriter Brandie Carlile is the most nominated female artist with six nominations. JAY Z and Beyoncé receive three nominations for their joint album “Everything Is Love” including Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best R&B Performance and Best Music Video.

The late Mac Miller received his first ever Grammy nomination in The Best Rap Album category alongside Pusha T, Drake, Travis Scott, Nipsey Hussle and Cardi B. J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, Jay Rock and Royce Da 5’9 are some of the notable names to miss out.

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Sunday, Feb. 10, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Below is a full list of the nominees in some of the categories we care about.

Cardi B on Wednesday (Dec. 5) posted a video on Instagram saying she and her baby father Offset are no longer together.

“I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now,” Cardi says in the clip. “And we’re really good friends and really good business partners, and you know, he’s always somebody that I run to, to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other, but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.”

It’s nobody’s fault,” she continued. “It’s just like I guess we grew out of love. But we’re not together anymore.”

The Invasion Of Privacy singer allegedly called it quits with the Migos rapper after texts messages leaked by TMZ show Offset was interested in setting up a ménage à trois with a struggle female rapper named Cuban Doll and another Woman, Summer Bunni.

A large part of the internet feel the supposed break up is a publicity stunt and it may not be far from the truth. Offset’s solo debut is expected to arrive this Friday (Dec. 14) and this could be part of a big scheme to generate some buzz for the yet to be titled project.

The couple who secretly got married in September 2017 plans to remain friends and business partners. “I don’t know it might take time to get a divorce. And I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father,” Cardi said.

A day after Cardi announced her split from offset, the couple shared the first public image of their daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus.  She looks so adorable.
