French Montana Named Rap’s First-Ever Global Citizen Ambassador
I didn’t even know this was a thing, but French Montana has become rap’s first global citizen ambassador for his good deeds towards the people of Uganda. The Moroccan born rapper received the award at a private ceremony in New York on Friday night.
“It feels beautiful to be a child of God, citizen of the world and agent of change,” French tells TMZ. “I’m helping the people that need help, you know.”
Montana filmed the video for his chart-topping single Unforgettable featuring Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee in Uganda, where he witnessed the country’s dire health care firsthand. The Bronx rapper donated a $100k to help build a hospital to provide aid for pregnant women in the country, an initiative French intends to expand to his birth country, Morocco.
“We expanding our platform to Morocco. Building up our…a couple of things that are going to help the kids in Morocco, you know,” he revealed. “The whole idea of this is to spark the mind of the world leaders, you know. To help them do something on a bigger scale than what we doing. I just feel like all the mothers and children should have the right care, you know. It should never be a privilege, it should be a right.”
Diddy and The Weeknd also matched Montana’s $100k donations, and Global Citizen estimates some 260,000 people will benefit from the money raised.

Post Malone Responds To His Haters
There’s definitely a struggle white rappers face in hip hop and Post Malone has had more than enough share of it. However, the advantages outweigh the struggle so to a very large extent, its not noticeable.
Malone like most white rappers have been labeled a ‘culture vulture,” mainly due to his reckless interview with GQ last year where he said, “I don’t want to be rapper. I just want to be a person that makes music.”
He rightly received backlash for the uncollected comments and has since, for the most part tried to redeem himself.
On Saturday night, the “Congratulations” rapper joined the likes of Pharrell, Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri at LIV nightclub’s Boardwalk at Pegasus World Cup invitational to celebrate the big horse race near Miami. Towards the end of his performance, Malone took a minute to answer his critics with an emotional rant.
“There’s a lot of people that wanted to talk down on me, and laugh at me, and call me a culture vulture, and say I don’t appreciate hip-hop, and I don’t do nothing for the culture,” he says. “So, I guess this is me telling y’all to live your best life. Don’t listen to what the fuck nobody has to say about you cause you are the fuckin’ shit and you can do whatever the fuck you wanna do if you believe in your fuckin’ self.”

Donald Trump Shades Jay-Z
Jay-Z was the inaugural guest on Van Jones’ The Van Jones Show,’ Saturday night on CNN. During his discussion, Jay addressed Trump’s ‘Shithole” countries comments used to describe Haiti, El Savador and the nations of Africa.
“Everyone feels anger, but after the anger, it’s really hurtful, because you’re looking down on a whole population of people and you’re so misinformed because these places have beautiful people and beautiful everything,” he said.
He went on to speak on America’s deep racist roots by using an analogy that described the U.S. president as a “Superbug.”
“You don’t take the trash out. You keep spraying whatever over it to make it acceptable. As those things grow, you create a superbug. Then now we have Donald Trump, the superbug.”
The rap icon’s comments must have gotten to Trump because he responded to the interview a day after it went viral.
