Nicki Minaj And Her Husband Sued For Harrasment By Attempted Rape Victim
Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, are being sued by the woman he was convicted of trying to rape in 1995.
The victim, Jennifer Hough claims Nicki and Kenneth have directly and indirectly harassed her and threatened her to not speak about the incident. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Hough said it all began in 2018, after the couple confirmed their relationship.
Hough says it was around that time when Nicki began making false public statements about the attempted rape case, claiming Petty was “wrongfully accused” and the victim had recanted her story.
In 2020, shortly after Petty was indicted for failing to register as a sex offender—a case in which he recently copped a plea deal. Hough claims Nicki offered to fly her and her family to L.A. in exchange for recanting her assault allegations against Petty.
Hough says within days after rejecting Nicki’s offer she was bombarded with “harassing calls and unsolicited visits.” The suit also states that Nicki’s people contacted Hough’s brother and presented a $500,000 cash bribe in exchange for Hough recanting her story.
Court docs also reveal Nicki sent attorneys to her home to increase the pressure and try to get her to rescind her story, which Hough said made her fear for her safety.
Hough says she moved from her home in August 2020 when the cash offer and threats at her life continued.
She is suing Nicki and Kenneth for intentional infliction of emotional distress, harassment, and witness intimidation. She is also suing Petty for assault in connection to the 1995 case.
Tory Lanez Violated Megan Thee Stallion Protective Order
DaBaby is not the only one suffering from his antics at Rolling Loud Miami. New reports suggest Tory Lanez’s freedom may be at risk.
TMZ reports prosecutors have filed a motion to hold the Toronto native in contempt for violating the restraining order that was issued for his alleged shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
The restraining order requires him to stay clear of Megan. Prosecutors believe Tory’s surprise appearance during DaBaby’s Rolling Loud set last month violated the judge’s order, because he got within 100 yards of her.
Tory and DaBaby allegedly attempted to rush the stage while Megan was performing, however a rep for the “Chixtape” artist says Tory never saw Meg at the festival nor did he ever get physically close to her.
Prosecutors have reportedly filed legal docs asking the judge to either revoke Tory’s bail, which could land him in jail pending trial or at the very least increase his bail.
A hearing on the contempt motion is set for next Thursday.
