The ripple effect from Da Baby’s homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Miami this past weekend continues to bite him in the butt.
TMZ reports the 29-year old North Carolina rapper has been dropped from UK’s Parklife festival taking place in September.
DaBaby was originally tapped to perform at Parklife 2021 in Heaton Park, Manchester in England alongside Young Thug and his “Cry Baby” collaborator Megan Thee Stallion but his name has now been removed from the lineup.
The updated lineup on Parklife’s website does not include Baby, however the rapper’s management tell TMZ the “Ball If I Want To” rapper pulled out of the festival months ago due to reasons related to covid, and wasn’t dropped because of his homophobic comments as speculated.
DaBaby is currently hip hop’s new super villain and has lost friends and endorsement deals as a result of it. Fashion company boohooMAN, who he teamed up with in June to launch a summer 100-capsule has severed ties with him.
“Diversity and inclusion are part of the boohoo Groups DNA and we pride ourselves on representing the diverse customers we serve across the globe,” the company said. “The statement continued, “We stand up and support the LGBTQ+ community, and we do not tolerate hate speech or discrimination in any form.”
