A cargo airplane broke into two during an emergency landing in Costa Rica on Thursday, 7th April in an accident that inflamed the temporary closure of the international airport in San Jose. Smoke was freaking from German logistics giant DHL’s bright yellow plane as it slammed off the runway to a halt and broke around the rear wheels. It was a shocking accident that has left shocked everyone.
The chief of Costa Rica’s firefighters, Hector Chaves stated that two crew members aboard were in a stable condition. However, the Guatemalan pair were transported to the hospital as a precaution for a medical check-up, as per the Guido Vasquez, a Red Cross Worker. The pilot was shaken, however, both crews were conscious and remember everything sharply. The accident took place around 10:30 am on Thursday after the Boeing-757 plane, which had a departure from the Juan Santamaria international airport outside San Jose, was forced to return 25 minutes later of an emergency landing because of a mechanical failure.
To be quite certain, the crew had warned the local authorities of a hydraulic issue. The airport was shut at around 6 pm. Due to the accident, operations at the country’s biggest airport remained suspended till around 5.30 pm, affecting hundreds of flights and over 8,000 passengers.
