Forbes just blessed us with their annual Hip Hop Cash Kings list and it’s pretty much same ol’ same ol’. Diddy or Puff Daddy retains his crown from last year as hip hop’s cash king, raking in a whopping $62 million. A large part of the money comes from his Ciroc vodka.
Jay Z comes a not so close second with an income of $53 million. Despite laying low these days, Dr Dre still raked in a huge some of $43 million which was good enough to land him the number 3 spot. The good Doctor is still reaping rewards from his $3 billion beats deal and the N.W.A biopic.
Drake who was a surprise at last year’s top 3 falls to the number 4 spot with $38 million. I’m expecting him to get back in the Top 3 next year.
Wiz khalifa pops in at number 5 with the sum of $24 million, Birdman slips to number 10 with $18 million. 50 Cent is nowhere to be seen in the top 10 and Onika still remains the only female holding it down in the list.
Kanye West comes in at 11, while A$AP Rocky debuts on the list at number 13.
