His friends and colleagues offered an insight into the tragic circumstances surrounding Dieter’s death. His mother, Dawn, is also preparing to write a book on Dieter’s battle with depression, reports Daily Mail Australia.
Days before his tragic death, one of his old friends had been offered work washing the windows of a prestigious apartment building in central Sydney. His final photo showed him with a beard nestled amongst the city’s skyline.
He stated that he was looking forward to a future working high above Covid breakdown, which was apparently ‘ravaging’ Sydney. Unfortunately, just two days later, the government paused all construction work in the city for two weeks.
The lockdown was a devastating blow for Dieter, who took his own life at his Glenhaven home in the city’s northwest just a week after the government announced the restrictions.
Actor Dieter Brummer Unseen Interview Footage Revealed
Dieter Brummer shared his difficult experience with fame I his final interview, shot in 2018 and aired on Channel Seven’s The Fame Game special Sunday night.
Brummer was asked about fame and its fickleness in the interview. The late actor responded, ” Tes. It can ve very Fickle, you are hot one moment, and the very next moment you’re not. You’d have to deal with it any way you can”.
The actor added that he did his best and was pretty full no, screaming girls at appearance, moreover, it was all pretty chaotic and hectic.
He explained how he wanted to try and experience life as Joe Bloggs and live like normal people do following his enormous fame during those years on Home and Away.
Leading up to his tragic death, he had been out of the acting spotlight for many years, despite being a household name back in the 1990s.
Elsewhere in the footage, the late actor stated he loved his new job of high-rise window washing. However, following another lockdown that stopped construction work, he was deprived of his job and was financially struggling.
Only after a week after the tighter restriction, Dieter’s body was found at his parents’ Glenhaven home on July 24.
