Last week MF Doom teamed up with Adult Swim for a new series called, The Missing Note Book Rhymes — The series will feature 15 new songs from the Masked man, all to be released in the space of 15 weeks.
They got the campaign going last Wednesday (August 7) with Negus featuring Sean Price. The song can also be found on P’s posthumous LP The Imperius Rex.
And if “The Missing Notebook Rhymes” isn’t enough to quench your Doom taste, the mysterious villain will also be releasing a new album from KMD – the group he rose to fame with decades ago before it got disbanded due to uncontrollable circumstances.
Returning to his roots, Doom via Adult Swim gives NPR the go ahead to premiere “True Lightyears” featuring Jay Electronica. The collaboration serves as the first single off KMD’s forthcoming album “Crack In Time” due for release via Metalface/Nature Sounds.
“True Lightyears” also doubles as the second track from Doom and Adult Swim’s The Missing Notebook Rhymes project.
