Jamie Vardy was signed for FC Halifax Town for a fee of £15,000 in June 2010 by manager Neil Aspin, a long-time admirer of Vardy’s talents. The footballer made his debut in the home match against Buxton.

Vardy scored the winning goal against Buxton that ended 2-1 for his new club. After spending over a year with Halifax, he agreed to Conference Premier club Fleetwood Town.

On May 17, 2012, it was made official that Vardu would be signing for Championship club Leicester City ahead of the 2012-13 season. The next day, Vardy agreed to a three-year contract until 2015.

On June 3, 2016, Arsenal made a bid of £22 million for Vardy, triggering a release clause in his contract, while Leicester offered him improved terms and after 20 days he signed a new four-year deal rejecting Arsenal.

He is happily married to Rebekah Nicholson, an English model, and media personality. Vardy first met Nicholson in 2014 while working as a nightclub promoter.

The pair then tied their knot on May 25, 2016, at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, with David Nugent, an English professional footballer, as the best man. Vardy and his wife are blessed with three children from their marriage.

He also has one child from his previous relationship. The athlete has four biological children and is also a stepfather of two children from Rebekah’s previous relationship.
