After a recent alumni death, a group of people in Kent County have been severely affected by a dangerous accident.

One day after Ethan Dutter’s passing, dear friends gathered Tuesday night at a growing memorial at Forrest Hills Northern High School.

On Monday, June 20, just before 10 a.m., a hazardous accident occurred on W. State Road near Agaming Street in Rutland Township.

According to investigators, Dutter’s Ford Escape was traveling north when it crossed the center line and collided with a Dodge Ram being driven by a 53-year-old Lowell resident who was traveling in the opposite direction.

Dutter was found to be dead and articulating. The second motorist was sent to a medical facility to receive wound care.

According to friends, Ethan was on his way to see his girlfriend Julia at the time of the tragedy and had plans for the day as well as his future.

“I lost a closest friend, a beau, someone that meant so much to me and so many others,” Julia added.

One of Ethan’s teachers started a GoFundMe to support the family; this shows the impact he had on others who knew him.

Rachael Rowden, a neighboring family friend, remarked that “he was a wonderfully thoughtful and cherishing child.” “Ethan just glowed, and everyone who met him knew love. You could never forget his face because of his wavy hair and dimples. He was adorable.

Despite the fact that the accident is still under investigation, appointees claim they do not fully accept that drugs or alcohol played a role in it.
