Eula Duncan, 76, of Goochland, VA, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
She was a very hard and dedicated worker (giving many years to Taylor’s Exxon). She provided smiles and laughter for all who walked through the door. She loved to stay busy and was a nurturer, often caring for her family. Her love language was cooking and feeding everyone. She knew no stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone, about anything, anywhere. She loved babies (Little Isabella provided many smiles in her last days). Everyone was family to her.
Eula is survived by her daughter, Sonja Carvalho (Tommy); daughter in-law, Kathleen Duncan; son in-law, Victor Hawk (Jessica); two grandchildren, whom she raised as her own, Douglas Gilliam, Jr. and Kelsey Thurston (Aubrey); eight additional beloved grandchildren, Christopher Duncan, Joseph Carvalho (Brittany), Eric Carvalho (Brandon), Kathryn Duncan, Nicholas Walton, Samantha Walton, Austin Hawk (Abbie) and Justin Hawk; four great grandchildren, Anabelle Ruley, Lincoln Carvalho, Bella Carvalho and Lucas Walton; brother, Bill Ferguson (Ella Mae); sister, Virginia Edens (Roger); sisters in-law, Ritchie and Diane Ferguson; brother in-law, Vernon Pochodzay; and many other cherished relatives.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Lee Roy Duncan; son, Wayne Duncan; daughters, Cindy Walton and Kathy Hawk; son in-law, Pete Walton; granddaughter, Elizabeth Carvalho; parents, Thurman and Margaret Ferguson; brothers, Arthur, Don and Ed Ferguson; and sisters, Lorene Gunn, Betty Marcum, Lola Pochodzay, Linda Collins, Barbara Crosby and April Coomer.
Services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Norman Funeral Chapel in Goochland, VA, where family will receive visitors from 6:00-7:00PM. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00PM.
