Gary Payton II is a well-known professional basketball player, who plays for the NBA for the Golden State Warriors.

Gary signed a 10-day contract with the team on 8 April 2021, and was selected first-team All-Pac-12 and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year while playing collegiate basketball as a junior and senior for the Oregon State Beavers.

Payton II competed for Salt Lake Community College for two seasons. As a freshman in the 2012/13 season, he averaged 9.4 points with 6.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.

Gary Payton Sr. and Monique James started dating in high school and married on 26 July 1997. Raquel,34, Gary II, 29, and Julian,24, were the couple’s three children.

However, Gary Payton II’s parents divorced in 2012 after his mother, Monique James, filed for divorce. As a result, Gray and Monique are no longer in their marriage.

According to Spotrac, Gary Payton II signed a one-year, $1,939,350 deal with the Golden State Warriors. Per his contract agreement, he received a $1,939,350 guaranteed yearly average salary.

Gary Payton II will make $1,766,970 in 2022-2023, with a cap hit of $1,766,970. He agreed to sign a second contract of 10-day with the Golden State Warriors on 19 April 2021.

Then, Gary Payton II was signed for the remainder of the season and the following season on 16 May 2021. He was waived just before the 2021-22 NBA season, but after clearing waivers, he was re-signed by the team on 19 October the following year.
