With Siyabonga Zubane’s family, friends, and other students, Tshwane University of Science and Technology organized a memorial service for the late Gomora actor, Siyabonga Zubane, at the Tshwane Arts Campus. Aaron Dube’s photo At Tshwane Tswane University of Science and Technology Arts Campus, a memorial service was conducted for late Gomorrah actor Siabonga Zubane, who studied dance at the university in the 2018-2020 academic year.
Siyabonga was hailed as a loving and talented individual by a variety of speakers, including family, friends, pupils, and professors.
Thabiso Zubane, Siyabonga’s brother, said they were devastated.
“We’re in so much anguish,” he added, “it’s hard to realize he’s gone.”
He described himself as a man who was usually pleasant, influential, and compassionate.
Tabiso says he will always remember his brothers, especially since he often uses the Zulu word “asbonge” when they speak.
“My brother loves people more than himself,” he said.

Siyabonga’s uncle, Nkululeko Zubane, 34, said: “Siyabonga loves the entertainment industry and wants to bring something new to the industry. We discovered his talent when he was a model at the age of 10, inspired by his brother Thabiso, who is also a model.
Siyabonga’s publicist, Sibusiso Mthiya, added that they lost a rising star and a great actor who worked hard.
“I overheard my assistant sharing this sad news with her friend. I was devastated and at the same time he was at peace, especially because of what he was going through,” he said.
“It was painful to see him leave us like this, we never thought about it,” said Nayothirum Maluleka, 27, Siyabonga’s dance friend at TUT’s art campus.
Nayothirum said that Siyabonga was a very determined person.
“He was always thinking of others, he made everyone happy, even though he didn’t have everything, he cared about people.
“He was an accomplished dancer and actor at that school. He was an accomplished artist. He will always be my best friend. May his soul rest in peace,” he said.

Jeannette Ziady, a lecturer at Siyabonga, said: “A hardworking, passionate, kind and humble leader. He always built others. He was a great student and a great dancer.”
She said she will remember Siyabonga’s smile and good work ethic.

Mathaphelo Masombuka, his former teacher at Jiyana Secondary School in Tembisa, said: “We lost a wonderful and talented kid. It’s hard to believe we’ll never see him again.”
Siyabonga passed away on Saturday, May 7. He will be buried at Falls Cemetery in Midland, Johannesburg, on Sunday.
