Halle Berry and Cardi B are working on the soundtrack to Halle’s new self-directed film, Bruised and as a result have been spending a lot of time together. While hosting a premiere for the new film on Saturday (Nov. 13), the one time Catwoman stated she “reached out to Cardi b because she’s the Queen of Hip hop.”
The remark, as you would expect didn’t go down well with the Barbz who ended up going after Berry’s entire existence.
Seemingly in response to Berry’s comments, supermodel Winnie Harlow, while presenting Nicki Minaj with the award for “Best Hip-Hop” at the EMA’s said that Nicki is the “one and only ‘Queen of Hip-Hop.’”
Cardi, dismissed the online tussle and used the opportunity to promote the upcoming film and soundtrack.
“I know how some of you girls like to tussle over this typa childish s***… but ntm on Halle Berry,” she tweeted. “Anyway her movie #BRUISED dropping THAT SHE DIRECTED HERSELF on Netflix on November 24th. The FIRST female rap movie soundtrack!! we produced together out this FRIDAY!”
The quoted replies to Cardi’s tweet were filled with more negative comments from Nicki fans.
Can’t we all just get along?
The soundtrack for the Netflix film, Bruised features an-all female rap lineup including Rapsody, Young M.A., Flo Milli, Latto, City Girls and Saweetie.
“Can’t wait for the world to finally experience my dream come true – the first all female Hip-hop project, the music of Bruised,” Halle Berry captioned a post on IG.
