Hazem Mohamed Death – We are extremely devastated to announce the death of Hazem Mohamed of Fairfield, 26, who has been identified as the victim in last night’s fatal hit-and-run crash.
Hazem Mohamed was riding a motorcycle when he was hit by an SUV near Kings Highway East and Jennings Road.
The driver of the SUV, 39-year-old Jairo Guadalupe Lopez-Bonilla of Bridgeport, took off. Police located and arrested him a few hours later. He’s charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle and evading responsibility causing death.
