Holly Woods Death – We are extremely saddened and devastated to announce the death of Holly Woods, 59, of Peru, Maine, who has been identified as the victim in a Friday morning fatal vehicle crash in Androscoggin County.
Holly Wood died in a late Friday morning vehicle crash in Tuner. Josh Doughty, 38, of Gorham, Maine, has been identified as the other involved driver.
Doughty was asleep at the wheel while operating a vehicle on the 2300 block of Auburn Road in Turner, when he crossed centerlines and came into contact with a vehicle operated by Woods around 11:30 a.m. Friday.
Holly Wood was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Doughty was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
