It looks like fans of Lil Kim will have to play the waiting game a little longer.
The rap veteran revealed via Instagram stories that her label Entertainment One has pushed back the release date of her long-awaited album, titled 9.
“EOne has pushed back the date of my album y’all if you have an issue take it up with them,” Kim wrote. “This has nothing to do with me. I am beyond upset with this and couldn’t wait to show you all what I’ve been working on.”
She also directed some of her frustrations to Spotify, claiming the streaming company is “hating” on her. “Spotify is hating on me,” she told her fans. “I can’t understand why after all of the favors I’ve done for them. Direct all of your energy towards them too.”
“9” was scheduled to release next month (May 17) but has now been pushed back indefinitely. The 13-track album will feature appearances from Fabolous, Remy Ma, Rick Ross and more. Her last album, The Naked Truth was released in 2005.
While fans of the Brooklyn spitter await a new release date, Kimmy holds them down with a new song titled “No Auto Blanco.”
