Jane Foster is the new name on the lips of many, although she is diagnosed with breast cancer.
She is on the spotlight because she accepts Thor’s offer to represent Midgard in the Asgardian Congress of the Worlds.
Jane attends counseling, although she is opposed to any mystical therapies, and has publicly said that the scenario depicted in Thor: Love and Thunder were inspired by the last two runs.
The great twist during Jane Foster’s run was that she had cancer at the time, which worsened as she utilized Mjolnir and transformed into Thor.
Later in life, Jane Foster has breast cancer and accepts Thor’s invitation to represent Midgard in the Congress of the Worlds in Asgard while she undergoes treatment.
On the other hand, Mjolnir has given Jane the ability to battle like Thor while it is in her possession.
On the other hand, Jane’s use of Mjolnir has allowed her cancer to spread because the transformation process removes all toxins from her body except cancer, even the radiation she is receiving for therapy each time she transforms.
Jane’s cancer eventually progresses to the point where she must reveal her true identity to Thor and others, who force her to reside in a hospital under Doctor Strange’s supervision.
Her cancer was never caused by it; in fact, her mother died of breast cancer when she was nine years old.
To cut a long story short, she reaches a point when any further metamorphosis will kill her. She fights an opponent who wants to destroy Mjolnir, discovers that Thor is now worthy of the name, persuades Odinson to regain his name, and returns to her cancer treatments.
Jane Foster found herself soon engulfed in pivotal battles. Her first swings with the hammer were against Malekith the Dark Elf and the Frost Giants, quickly followed by the Absorbing Man, Titania, and Asgard’s Destroyer.
The metamorphosis, however, purged the chemotherapy treatment as a poison from Jane’s body, leaving her human self tormented with untreated cancer every time she picked up the hammer of Thor.
As her human body falters, time would prove to be her greatest foe. Strange warned her that one more turn into Thor would kill her. Jane completed her last metamorphosis and died a real hero when an opponent arose that only she could defeat.
Russell Crowe’s MCU debut as Zeus and Natalie Portman’s return as Thor’s ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who takes on the mantle of Thor, are the two huge reveals.
Thor: Love and Thunder have a new trailer, and it’s just as packed with axes, action, and old and new heroes as we’d imagined.
The pictures of Olympus he sees are stunning, with gold-clad structures and the sun always beaming, making the entire scene a visual feast that will undoubtedly be fun to explore when the film is released.
