Jean Lester Death – We are extremely devastated to announce the death of Jean Lester, 66, of Salem, Virginia, who has been identified as the victim Wednesday in a vehicle-versus-pedestrian strike in Roanoke County.
Jean Lester died after she was struck by a vehicle in Salem Wednesday night.
Jean Lester was on-foot in the 2400 block of Catawba Valley Drive in Salem, when she was struck by a passing Mazda Protégé around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Jean Lester was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The Mazda driver remained on scene and fully cooperated with investigators.
