Jim Ramsey was a weatherman, and his 42-year career as a journalist was acknowledged by the station, as was his contribution. He had a great sense of humour and brightened up the mornings at WGN. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 1975 from the University of South Carolina and worked in North Carolina, Colorado, and Virginia before settling in Chicago and joining WGN in 1987. He was a familiar face of the WGN Weather Department on Saturday evenings before retiring in 2017.
Ramsey passed away at 69 years old but the cause of death is yet to be announced by the family. RIP Ramsey!
