In Barataria, one man has died. Josimar Nero, 28, of Shende Street, Sunshine Avenue, San Juan, has been named as the victim.
Around 8:54 this morning, a shooting occurred at Third Avenue and Eastern Main Road in Barataria.
Sauce Doubles was reportedly the scene of gunfire, which caused Nero to pass out.
Nero was still breathing when police from the North Eastern Division Traffic Unit and the North Eastern Division Emergency Response Patrol arrived; he had been shot multiple times.
After being transported, he was declared dead at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mount Hope.
The investigation is still ongoing.
