Kanye West hasn’t stopped working since he released his Grammy-nominated album Donda back in August. The rapper has remained in the studio and has just announced the release date for his next album, Donda 2.
On Thursday morning (January 27), the rapper now known as Ye announced “Donda 2” is set to release on Feb. 22, 2022. The album executive produced by Future has been described as a “masterpiece” by Pusha T’s manager Steven Victor and will likely feature Moneybagg Yo.
“DONDA 2” would be West’s first ever sequel album of his career. Named after his late mother, the first Donda dropped on August 29, 2021 after several pushbacks. The 26-track effort included guest appearances from Jay-Z, The Weeknd, Fivio Foreign, DaBaby, Lil Baby and much more.
Ye announced DONDA 2 release date on Instagram alongside a burning billboard of his Chicago child hood home. No additional information was available on potential features.
