Earlier this month, former COO of G.O.O.D Music, Steven Victor revealed to Complex that Kanye West was working on a sequel to his chart-topping album DONDA. Details about the LP described as a “masterpiece” are few and far between, but new information have been made available today (Jan 12) courtesy of Moneybagg Yo.
Moneybag Yo took to his Instagram story earlier to share a text exchange he had with Kanye West. In the screenshot, the artist now known as Ye talks about collaborating with the “Wockesha” rapper.
“I got to lock in with you on Donda 2,” he wrote, before adding “money in front of us.”
Kanye West was recently in the studio with Moneybag Yo, The Game and Antonio Brown.
Ye released Donda in August of 2021 after a series of delays. The album was eventually released with features from Jay-Z, DaBaby, The Weeknd and more.
The album has been nominated for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album at the 2022 Grammy awards, while ‘Jail’ and ‘Hurricane’ have been nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Melodic Rap Performance, respectively.
Kanye West is also set to headline Coachella 2022 alongside Billie Eillish and Harry Styles.
