When Kanye said Obama did nothing for the city of Chicago during his eight years in office, the standard rebuttal he got was “what have you also done for the Chi?” Before now, Ye hadn’t done anything of value for the city, but things are about to change. According to TMZ, kanye, through his Donda Social organization plans to rescue hundreds of thousands of Chicago residents facing severe problems with housing, education, gun violence and drinking water. He hopes to achieve this target by physically visiting the struggling areas, finding out what the people want and then provide them with practical solutions and money.
G.O.O.D Music affiliate, Malik Yusef … Who’s also involved in the project tells TMZ Kanye has wrangled a group of A-Listers and close friends including Common, Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Don C and several other Chicago natives to help with the initiative. Yusef also says the famous people involved in the program will get loud to change the political agenda in Chi-town and make these issues a priority.
