On Friday, (February 4) Kanye West called out his estranged wife Kim Kardashian for posting a clip of their eight year old daughter, North West on Tiktok. The clip showed Kim and North lip-syncing a Rae Sremmurd song, but Ye wasn’t to keen on the idea of having his daughter posted all over social media, and decided to shade his soon to be ex-wife.
“SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL?”
In response to Ye’s comments, Kim argues she’s helping North “express her creativity” and says Kanye’s constant bickering in interviews and on social media are more hurtful than any tiktok their daughter might create.
“Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create. As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision—because it brings her happiness.”
Kim says Ye’s obsession with being negative is making the divorce process difficult on their children and she hopes to “handle all matters regarding our children privately.”
Kanye’s recent comments shouldn’t come as a surprise. During an interview with Hollywood Unlocked last month, the rapper now known as Ye spoke about his disapproval of North West’s presence on Tiktok.
“Tell her don’t have my daughter wearing lipstick on TikTok and don’t have her on TikTok at all if I don’t approve that, and I said it after it was done without me knowing and it happened again,” the rapper told HU’s Jason Lee.
Prior, Ye claimed Kim wasn’t letting him see their kids, and says she tried to prevent him from attending Chicago’s birthday last month, which Kim has since denied.
The reality star filed for divorce from Kanye West about a year ago, and has asked a judge to restore her single status.

Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create. As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision—because it brings her happiness. Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all. From the beginning I have wanted nothing but a health and supportive co-parenting relationship because it is what is best for our children and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way.
I wish to handle all matters regarding our children privately and hopefully he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably.
