The name announcement comes four days after the baby’s birth.
“We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care,” the now mother of three wrote shortly after the baby’s birth.
Like we earlier reported, The couple have been offered cash deals as high as $5 million dollars for pictures of their new baby but the West have refused to sell because they find it inappropriate.
Kanye West was raised in Chicago and has a strong connection to the city, so naming his second daughter after his hometown may just be another way he plans on giving back. Chicago is also where his first charitable foundation was born, now known as Donda’s House – named after his late mother.
