Last week Friday Kim Kardashian filed legal documents to restore her marital status to single. Now in supporting documents obtained by TMZ, the reality star has declared there’s no going back on her plans for a divorce from Kanye West because “No counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time.”
Kim cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the “irretrievably break down” of her marriage to Kanye West, and says she’s been trying to call it quits for a while but Kanye wasn’t having it.
“I have been attempting to settle our dissolution with [Kanye] since I filed for divorce in February 2021.” She says, “I have requested several times that [Kanye] agree to bifurcate and terminate our marital status. [He] has not responded to my request.”
“[Kanye] and I both deserve the opportunity to build new lives. Therefore, I am asking that my request to bifurcate and terminate our marital status be granted,” she adds.
Kim filed for divorce from Kanye West in February, however the YEEZY founder has stated countless times that he wants them to remain together. During his performance of Runaway at his Free Larry Hoover benefit concert at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum last week, Ye openely requested for his estranged wife to “run right back” to him.
