Crazier things have happened.
Everyone seemingly wants a piece of Jay-Z after the billionaire rapper declared he was untouchable in a verzuz battle.
“Can’t nobody stand on that stage with me. I ain’t gonna lie. No disrespect. Everyone’s amazing and done what they’ve done. No one is standing on that stage with me,” declared Jay-Z during a Twitter Spaces session promoting Alicia Keys new album, KEYS.
We’re not sure where Kodak Black got the courage from, but the 24-year old rapper has challenged the rap mogul to a hits battle. The Florida native stated his conditions on Twitter, Monday (January 3), saying if he wins Hov has to make him Vice President of Roc Nation.
“I’ll do a [Verzuz with] Jay-Z. ‘IF’ he [wins,] he [gets] 15 % of my catalog! I win, he [makes] me Vice President of Roc Nation.”
Obviously, Jay is not going to do a Verzuz with Kodak Black, but that didn’t stop Kodak’s die hard fans from running their mouths fingers
“Jay Z’s best album was reasonable doubt. All his other albums were pop culture fodder,” a Twitter user responded.
Another wrote, “Nobody listen to no damn Jay Z.”
The likes of Rick Ross and Snoop Dogg have also casually challenged Hov to a hits battle. Few days ago, Future co-signed the view that he can easily go against Jay-Z in a VERZUZ battle and win it for Atlanta.
