Lizzo is putting Drake on notice. While performing a cover of Erykah Badu’s “Tyrone” from Badu’s 1997 album Live, at the Art Basel festival in Miami on Saturday (December 4), the flirtatious singer used the moment to shoot her shot at Billboard’s artist of the decade.
During her cover she added her own spin to the track, replacing “Tyrone” with Chris Evans and Drake.
She sings,”maybe I should call Chris Evans so Captain America can put another bun in my oven” referencing her rumored pregnancy with Chris Evans’ baby. Lizzo then asks if she should “call back Drake” so he can “cry into her p*ssy” or “dive into her p-ssy..”
This is not the first time Lizzo will be mentioning Drake in a flirtatious way. In her most recent single, “Rumors” with Cardi B, Lizzo sings, “Readin’ sh-t on the internet / My smoothie cleanse and my diet / No, I ain’t f-ck Drake — yet.” She later explained that mentioning Drake in the song was her way of flipping the script.
“I just thought it would be so funny to say. I have a small relationship with him. He’s very cool,” she told Zane Lowe. “I just feel like women, there’s so many times where girls’ names get dropped in songs ’cause they’re fine.”
