Lupe Fiasco pays tribute to the late Virgil Abloh with a new poetic track titled “V.F.” which is an acronym for Virgil Forever. The track has a somewhat reflective vibe to it and finds Lupe using immaculate wordplay to pay homage to Abloh’s genius, while also celebrating his life and legacy.
Last year Virgil Abloh collaborated with Lupe Fiasco on Shoes, from his House project. The gloomy track produced by Ellis touches on race inequality, capitalism, and much more.
Virgil Abloh, 41 died on Sunday (November 28) after privately battling cancer for two years. His family requested to be requested to be left alone while they “grieve and celebrate Virgil’s life.”
