Martez Holmes Death – We are extremely devastated and saddened to announce the death of Martez Holmes, 32, who passed away after drowning last night of a Milwaukee man in the lagoon at Lakeshore State Park near the Summerfest grounds.
His family identified the victim as 32-year-old Martez Holmes. They say he was out on a pontoon boat when he went into the water. Police will only say he and several other people decided to go swimming about 8:20 last night when one of them struggled and went under. A search resumed this morning, with the body found by police divers shortly after 10am. Holmes’ mom questions why he would jump into the water, telling me “he can’t swim.”.
