During his Championships promo run, Meek Mill stopped by Funk Flex’s show on Hot 97, December 3rd to promote the new album. Before embarking on a freestyle session, which had him rapping over Drake’s “Back To Back,” The Clipse’s “Mr. Me Too” and Raekwon’s “Incarcerated Scarfaces” instrumentals, the Philadelphia rapper had a conversation with Flex – who has been ripping into Drake since the ghostwriting stories – about putting an end to his his problems with the Toronto legend.
“Me and my man Drake good now, you going to stop getting at Drake?” Meek asked.
“We kickin’ it every day on the phone. We ain’t just fake squash the beef. He did what he needed to do. He held it down.” Meek explained, before Flex apologized to Drake. “Drake, I apologize” said Flex, before announcing that he’d be open to having an on-air discussion with Drake if Meek set it up.
His new album “Championships” is projected to move 175k-200k in its opening week, enough to land it the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s 200 album chat. The album features collaborations with Rick Ross, JAY Z, Future, 21 Savage, Drake, Ella Mai, Cardi B and more.
