Stelling Robert Jeffrey is a well-known n English television personality. He presently hosts Gillette Soccer Saturday for Sky Sports.
From 2011 and 2015, he hosted coverage of the Champions League.
Stelling career life as a reported started in the 1970s, as he worked as a reporter for Middlesbrough Football Club on Radio Tees. He previously hosted Countdown on Channel 4 from 2009 to 2011 and Alphabetical on ITV from 2016 to 2017.
Stelling worked as a sports broadcaster on London’s LBC Radio Sportswatch show before switching to BBC Radio 2’s weekend sports program Sport on 2, where he covered the Olympic Games in Los Angeles and Seoul in the 1980s.
Recently Jeff Stelling made an announcement to the public that he is leaving Sky network after working all these years.
Stelling has worked with Sky for over 39 years, and now he announced his retirement in October of last year. He has agreed to carry on as host of Soccer Saturday for at least the 2022/23 season after conversations with Sky Sports.
After his decision to remain as presenter of Soccer Saturday, as he keeps looking forward to bringing the show ahead and delivering more exceptional Saturday afternoons on Sky Sports.
“Football fans everywhere will be happy that Jeff will continue to present Soccer Saturday,” stated Jonathan Licht, Managing Director of Sky Sports.
Following his decision to leave Sky, Jeff Stelling has decided to stay on as Soccer Saturday’s host for at least another season.
In October, Stelling, 67, stated that he would step down at the end of the 2021-22 season. “Sky Sports is my home, and the Soccer Saturday team is a significant part of my life,” Stelling stated on Monday.
As the season came to a close and he was getting ready to say his goodbyes, he realized he wasn’t ready to blow the last whistle and quit the best job in the world.
Stelling declared his desire to leave Soccer Saturday at the end of the 2021–22 season on October 30, 2021. However, Sky Sports confirmed on March 28, 2022, that Stelling will be staying through the end of the 2022–23 season.
Jeff Stelling previously suffered from Covid, but he is now free of the disease. After recovering from his sickness, he went back to work right away.
In March of this year, he was instrumental in inspiring Chris Kamara to keep going when Chris revealed that he suffers from apraxia of speech.
Nonetheless, there appears to be an internet rumor that Jeff is suffering from specific ailments. The good news for his followers and supporters is that he is healthy and can be seen on TV in his Sky Sports appearances.
Jeff Stelling is still going to be a part of Sky Network as he will remain as the host of Soccer Saturday.
