Michael Lumpa Obituary – We are extremely devastated and saddened to announce the death of Michael Lumpa, 42, Ndola’s Nkwazi township.
Michael Lumpa is believed to have gone missing from home on June,10th, this year and his body has been retrieved and identified by his wife Bridget Chilufya, 40.
48 days after going missing, the body of a 42-year-old man of Ndola’s Nkwazi township has been retrieved near a dam.
Copperbelt Province Commanding Officer Sharon Zulu said that police received a case of suspected suicide in which the victim is believed to have thrown himself in a dam in unknown circumstances.
“Ms Chilufya reported that her husband, Mr Lumpa went missing on June 10, this year around 19:00 hours. She said that the body was found yesterday, July 28th around 11:00 hours at Ngwenya dam in Nkwazi overspill area. The body was identified by her that it was her the husband and was later buried at kawama cemetery, in Ndola,” she said.
She added that an Inquiry file for further investigations into the matter has been opened .
