The person killed in a deadly car accident in Reno County on Tuesday afternoon has been named as Michael Godwin Sr. from McPherson, Kansas.
In a single-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon near Hutchinson, Mike Godwin, 46, perished.
In accordance with accounts, Godwin was driving a GMC van on Old K-61 Highway outside of Hutchinson when, at around 2 p.m., the car crossed the center line and off the road for an unknown cause. Tuesday. The car then entered a culvert and came to a stop.
Godwin was taken to a local hospital where he was later diagnosed as having suffered blunt force trauma and had died.
The accident’s cause is still being looked into.
