The tragic death of Nagai Sriram has shocked his loved ones, as he unexpectedly passed away at 41.
Nagai is a well-known and popular Indian musician and Carnatic violinist, who is no more and his mourned by his loved ones
His death news is been circulated but there’s no update about his cause of death, aside that he died at age 41
Wikipedia shows that, he officially began his violin career when he was 12 years old when he played for Neyveli Santhanagopalan in New Delhi.
Afterwards, he has accompanied a number of notable performers, including R. K. Srikantan, M. Balamuralikrishna, P. Unnikrishnan, T. N. Seshagopalan, T. V. Sankaranarayanan,O. S. Thyagarajan, K. V. Narayanaswamy, S. Sowmya, Hyderabad Brothers, Dr. N. Ramani, Sanjay Subrahmanyam, T. M. Krishna, Malladi brothers, and the Carnatica Brothers.
Nagai musicial career has gained him a lot of fame, as he has won several awards. Some of the honors and awards he received are Sangeet Natak Akademi -Yuva Puraskar, Shanmukha Sangeetha Sironmani – Shanmukhanandha Sabha, Best Violinist from Music Academy Chennai.
He also received the Best Violinist Award from Maharajapuram Vishwanatha Iyer Trust and Yuvakalabharathi from Bharath Kalachar.
Nagai Sriram was born on December 4, 1958, into the family of Sri. R.Rajagopalan and Smt. R. Komavall.
Nagai was introduced to the Carnatic violin at he 10, by his grandmother, R. Komalavalli, and later took further training from his uncle Vidwan Kalaimaamani Nagai R. Muralidharan.
Starting to play violin from the early age of ten, his career as a violinist lasted more than three decades. He became a top-ranking violinist known for his clarity, rich tonal quality as well as having established his own academic style.
