Cardi B is only interested in the cheques and she makes it known on her new single “Money.” Over the J. White production, Cardio raps on the chorus: “I was born to flex / Diamonds on my neck/ I like boardin’ jets, I like mornin’ sex (Woo!) / But nothing in this world that I like more than checks.”
“All I really wanna see is the (Money),” she continues. “I don’t really need the D, I need the (Money).”
Money is the first offering from the Bronx rapper since the release of her debut album “Invasion Of Privacy” back in April. The song was supposed to be released on Thursday October 25 but Cardi’s hands were forced after the record leaked prematurely (looking at you Barbz).
“You know the Barbz, they always posting me,” she said in an Instagram video. “They always post everything I do. They claim they hate me but they really love me because they be on my page before my fans. Everything that I do, they be on it before my fans so clearly that seems like love to me. Seems like you love me.”
“It was like, fuck it, can’t retract it. Might as well put it [‘Money’] out. Hope y’all are enjoying the record. So, um, I hope you guys enjoy it. Thank you. Yeah, I don’t give a fuck.
