Arne Bast Death – His family is in mourning as Milwaukee police look for the driver who struck and killed 32-year-old Arne Bast on Brady St. late Sunday night.
His older brother Caleb Bast described him as “one of a kind, special, generous, and caring” on Tuesday.
Just before midnight on Sunday, a motorist struck Bast in the street near Franklin Place, according to Milwaukee police. Later, he passed away at a hospital. According to police, the driver continued.
Donna Olson claimed, “Nobody stopped. The car that hit him never stopped, never turned on its brake lights, nothing. She is Arne Bast’s acquaintance and the proprietor of the local tavern Hosed on Brady. He is a Brady Street fixture, according to her and many others.
Meg Dougan stated, “Whenever you were on Brady, it was almost like a guarantee that you would run across him in some manner.”
His brother said, “He loved his folks here. He worked here.
This close-knit neighborhood is now asking anyone with information about the driver of the vehicle that struck their friend to come forward.
