On Monday morning at around 10:46 a.m., a serious single-vehicle crash occurred on Route 58, east of Route 780 in Floyd County, in which the two occupants in the vehicle suffered serious injuries and one of the ladies died, while the other person involved in the accident sustained minor injuries and is being treated by doctors in the hospital.

Authorities say an Ohio man was travelling west on Route 58 when he ran off the left side of the road, hit an embankment, and overturned his Ford Explorer. During the incident, his passenger, Alicia Borer, 30, was ejected from the Explorer. She died right there on the spot. The driver was unharmed in the collision, and the Alicia Borer Car Accident is being investigated by the State Police.
