Olga Sukhenko, the mayor of the Ukrainian village Motyzhyn, which is only a few kilometers away from Kyiv, the capital of the country, was reportedly abducted on the 23rd of March 2022 along with her spouse Ihor and their 25-year-old son named Oleksandr and on Saturday, 2nd of April 2022, their bodies were allegedly discovered in a trench-like makeshift grave which the Russian troops had used as barracks. Local media outlets asserted that the lady and her family were shot dead.
Russian troops reportedly kidnapped Olga Sukhenko and assassinated her alongside her husband and son. According to the New York Post, she was abducted along with her husband Ihor and their son Oleksandr, aged 25, on March 23, 2022.
The bodies of the victims were found in a makeshift grave that Russian troops had used as barracks. Local media reported that the woman and her family were killed.
Iryna Vereshchuk, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister, reported that Sukhenko was killed, and her family were abducted and assassinated “in captivity.”
