Paseka Matsobane Godfrey Mako, who plays as a defender for the Orlando Pirates, was born on April 1, 1994, and he is 28 years presently.
Orlando Pirates Football Club is South African professional football club situated in the Houghton neighborhood. It competes in the Premier Soccer League for South Africa’s top-tier football league.
When Ofori attempted to clear the ball during the Pirates’ DStv Premiership match against Baroka FC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, he collided with teammate Paseka Mako, heading in the same way.
The Pirates have already verified that Mako sustained a head injury, as he instantly fell to the ground following the impact, and nearby referee Masixole Bambiso blew his whistle and waved his arm for the doctors to enter the field.
After that, Ofori checked on his teammate before shouting for medical help. Mako was transported to the nearest hospital, and the Pirates indicated that he would be assessed again later that morning.
Orlando Pirates co-coach Fadlu Davids resented that the paramedics’ truck arrived on the field later than planned. While The Buccaneers’ medical crew treated Mako, the Pirates and Baroka players formed a circle around him.
The Orlando Pirates have updated Paseka Mako, stating that the left-back is in “stable condition” following the horrible collision he sustained after the 0-0 DStv Premiership stalemate with Baroka FC on Tuesday night.
In added time, Mako chased down a Baroka punt upfield as his goalkeeper, Richard Ofori, rushed out of his area and headed away just before the center circle.
With both players rushing at full speed, the keeper jumped up for a clearing header, and Mako square face was hit with his knee. He was found unconscious and stabilized by medical personnel and paramedics before being sent to the hospital by ambulance.
Football Fans and athletes from all around the country are sending their best wishes and prayers to Paseka Mako as he recovers from his horrific head injury as the collision video gets viral on social media.
Mako and Ofori both rushed for the same ball, with the latter serving as a sweeper to protect their goalposts. However, the situation worsened to the point that Mako required immediate medical attention on the pitch.
Because Mako’s condition did not appear to be improving, the medical team was compelled to call for an ambulance, finally he was rushed to the hospital. The Pirates medical staff notified SuperSport TV that Mako had suffered a concussion after waiting until after the game.
