American rapper Kanye West turned 44 today, June 8. The Chicago rapper is one of hip hop’s most Influential figures, with a larger than life personality that encapsulates his love for music, fashion, production and recently politics.
His bipolar behavior saddled with his unmissable ego has made West quite the controversial figure as of late. Despite his critics he remains vocal about his passions and continues to push himself creatively. His transition from producer, to rapper, fashion, father and businessman, is one for the history books and can only be replicated by a few.
In celebration of his 44th birthday, hip hop and music fans shared some of their fondest moments of Kanye’s illustrious career so far.
West celebrated his birthday by releasing the first piece from his Yzy x GAP partnership. The first item available from the new line is a unisex blue Round puffer coat made out of recycled nylon. The blue Round Jacket is currently a US exclusive and only available for preorder via gap.com. It retails for $200 and will ship in Fall 2021.
