James is a well-known professional darts player who is from England, he was born on July 7, 1984, in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
James was also known for being a part of the BDo World Championships in 2016 and 2017.
James reached the Last 32, in the 2015 World Masters, and he played Partin Phillips but lost 3-2 in sets. Later he was qualified for the 2916 BDO World darts Championship and has defeated by Larry Butler in the preliminary round.
James hit a nine-dart finish against Danie Day in the 2916 championship. He also had qualified for the 2018 BDO World Darts Championship but had to withdraw following an illness.
In the 2018 World Championship, James Hurrell, had to withdraw from the 2018 BDO World Championship a little under a week before the competition began at Lakeside in Frimley Green due to sickness.
James hasn’t competed competitively since reaching the World Masters Quarter Finals in September, losing to pro darts player Gabriel Clemens and later withdrew from his third appearance because of ill health.
James defeated young prospect Luke Littler, after recovering from their health, he has returned well and is currently No. 1 in the World Darts Federation world rankings. He got victory over the Isle of Man Classic.
He also reached the final of the Welsh Open (Darts) but was defeated by Cameron Menzies in October 2021, and in the Italian Masters losing to Dutch darts player Richard Veenstra.
Hurrell was the sixth seed in the 2022 WDF World Darts Championship, which took place in April 2022. The dart player, however, lost to Cameron Menzies in the quarter-finals.
James Hurrell stepped back from the 2018 BDO World Championships just under a week from the tournament beginning due to ill health. Although he qualified for the tournament, the dart player didn’t compete due to illness.
However, Hurrell has not shared the actual illness he was diagnosed with. Besides the fact that the professional darts player was ill, nothing more about his condition has been revealed.
Hurrell was replaced by Richie ‘Tricky’ Edwards, the following listed dart player in the BDO qualification. The player often expresses his sadness when he pulled out of the tournament due to illness.
Later, the player stated that he qualified four years ago but had to pull out due to his illness and had got his strength back and is looking forward to it now.
In an interview, Hurrell further stated that it was all sorted now, his practice has been going well, and he is in good health. The player appears to be more comfortable than before.

Hurrell further explained that he had never felt so nervous in his entire wife. To be fair, it felt more anxious than going for his operation four years ago.
James also competed for a tour card at the 2020 Q School to join the Professional darts Corporation in 2020. Unfortunately, the player finished outside the rankings needed to acquire a PDC Tour Card.
